SMED Project: Unlocking Hidden Capacity

In 2022, production expansion was seen as the only solution to meet increasing demand. However, the implementation of the SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Die) methodology revealed that a 50% reduction in changeover time could unlock significant capacity within existing facilities. This breakthrough eliminated the need for capital investment and enhanced production flexibility.

Transformative Leadership

“Over the past three years, the Polish organization within the 2care4 Group has undergone a profound Lean transformation, marked by strategic initiatives, leadership development, and a cultural shift toward continuous improvement. These efforts have not only delivered measurable operational gains but have also positioned the Polish site as a role model across the entire Group.

Having worked with many continuous improvement professionals, the collaboration with Søren has been a uniquely transformative experience. His approach to daily, incremental optimization gave new meaning to Lean. The practice of persistently asking “why” and probing for true root causes reshaped our understanding of problem-solving. Søren was consistently present, challenging assumptions and inspiring growth. His influence was instrumental in establishing the Polish organization as a benchmark for Lean excellence within the 2care4 Group.”
